Fleetwood Town have been dealt a significant injury setback, with Ryan Graydon set to be sidelined for six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in the recent defeat to Colchester United.
The 25-year-old forward has been in sensational form, netting 13 goals this season, including six in his last six games. His absence will be a huge loss as Fleetwood push through the final stretch of the campaign.
Speaking about Graydon’s injury, Fleetwood boss Pete Wild expressed his disappointment:
"It's really disappointing. If you look at the players who have been at the front of scoring goals for us this season... with both of our front players out injured, it's a huge blow. But it does give our younger strikers the chance going into the final month to make their names known."
With Fleetwood missing key attacking options, the club will now look to their younger strikers to step up and deliver in the crucial final weeks of the season.
