An action-packed afternoon at Anfield saw the Liverpool Legends claim a 2-0 victory over Chelsea Legends in the annual LFC Charity Match. The game, filled with nostalgia and thrilling moments, was decided in a 10-minute second-half blitz, with Peter Crouch stealing the show.
Liverpool icon Peter Crouch rolled back the years, netting twice in quick succession. His first goal came in the 55th minute, and just moments later, he found the net again—cue his signature robot celebration to the delight of the Anfield crowd.
One of the game’s most significant moments came in the 33rd minute, when Natasha Dowie made history as the first female legend to play in an LFC Charity Match. Dowie, who retired in 2023, is now Liverpool Women’s ambassador and previously starred for the club between 2012-2015, leading them to WSL success.
