Cambridge United have officially confirmed the departure of first-team coach Jason Euell as the club continues its restructuring efforts amid a challenging League One campaign.
Euell, a former Charlton Athletic forward, joined the U’s in July 2024 as part of Garry Monk’s backroom staff. However, following Monk’s dismissal, ex-Millwall manager Neil Harris has returned to The Abbey Stadium to take charge.
Currently sitting 13 points adrift of safety, Cambridge United are making key changes to their football operations. Director of Football Mark Bonner emphasized the club’s commitment to reshaping the coaching setup ahead of the new season.
“As part of our ongoing review, Neil Harris will soon appoint his own assistant head coach to ensure the team is prepared for pre-season,” Bonner stated.
He also expressed gratitude for Euell’s contributions:
“We sincerely appreciate Jason’s hard work and dedication this season. He is a highly skilled coach with extensive experience at the highest level. We have no doubt he will go on to achieve further success in football.”
Cambridge United continue their fight for League One survival as Harris looks to implement his vision for the club’s future.
