Blyth Spartans can confirm that first-team manager Michael Connor has stepped down from his role with immediate effect.
Club Chairman Kevin Miles acknowledged Michael’s contributions, stating:
"We sincerely appreciate Michael’s dedication over the past five months. He took on the role during a challenging period and tackled every obstacle with remarkable energy and enthusiasm. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors—he will always have friends at Croft Park."
Reflecting on his decision, Michael Connor said:
"It has been an incredible honour to lead this club, supported by a hardworking board and passionate fans. However, after Saturday’s game, I made the difficult decision to step down. I wish Kevin, the board, and all Blyth Spartans supporters the very best for the future."
For the remainder of the season, assistant manager Colin Myers and head coach Derek Forrest will take charge of the team.
The club will announce details regarding the appointment of a new first-team manager in the coming days.
