Newcastle United planted more misery on relegation-bound Leicester as the Magpies' Champions League push gained huge momentum.

The three points for Eddie Howe's side lifted them above Manchester City into fifth place in the Premier League and level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea, despite still having a game in hand.

Leicester, meanwhile, became the first side in Football League history to lose eight home league games in a row without finding the net, as they sit 15 points from safety with seven games remaining.

Leicester are certain to go down after that lacklustre display.
