Southampton Set to Sack Ivan Juric After Historic Premier League Relegation
Southampton FC have parted ways with manager Ivan Juric following the club’s relegation from the Premier League, which was confirmed after a 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Juric took over from Russell Martin in December on an 18-month contract, but has struggled to make an impact at St Mary’s. Under his leadership, Southampton have recorded just two wins in 16 matches.
The loss to Spurs marked Southampton’s 25th defeat of the season and saw the team become the earliest side ever relegated from the Premier League, with eight games still remaining.
In the wake of Juric's departure, Simon Rusk is expected to be named interim manager, with former Saints midfielder Adam Lallana likely to join him as assistant coach.
